VCM Interactive produced the third and final 2D animated explainer for the Canadian Coalition for Seniors’ Mental Health (CCSMH), based in Toronto, Ontario. This concluding video introduces the 2024 Canadian Clinical Guidelines on Social Isolation and Loneliness in Older Adults — the first clinical guidelines of their kind globally — translating evidence-based recommendations into a clear, engaging format for healthcare and social service professionals.
Developed by Canadian Coalition for Seniors’ Mental Health, a project of the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry, the guidelines provide structured, research-backed direction for addressing social isolation and loneliness in older adults across clinical and community settings.

In 2024, CCSMH released 17 evidence-based recommendations spanning prevention, screening, assessment, and intervention. An expert working group of clinicians, researchers, and subject matter experts used an adapted GRADE methodology to evaluate the research and establish clear clinical direction.
