Project Details
Objective:
The head office at Kwik Kopy Printing (KKP) needed content to support their traditional and digital marketing strategy as well as promote everything that they do for a client that either they or their competition cannot. They had recently done a series of videos that did not represent their brand well and were looking for a video production company that could conceptualize and execute a campaign that was true to the KKP brand as well as communicate everything they can do to help a business fulfill their design and printing needs. Visual Communications & Marketing (VCM) conducted a thorough discover meeting with KKP’s Marketing & Advertising Manager in order to understand their challenges and what they wanted to communicate in an effective campaign.
Solution:
We brainstormed a couple of ideas and pitched a strong, unique concept that incorporated KKP’s tagline “Yes We Can”. The pitch was a complete series called “No You Can’t, Yes We Can”. It was based on showing “do it yourself” scenarios that every business owner can relate to, from doing mass mail outs, trying to create a professional design, and using stock designs which all seem like easy tasks until they go wrong; hence, “No You Can’t, Yes You Can” with KKP. The client loved the concept and presented it to the KKP board of directors who gave approval to proceed with the concept. We developed and wrote the scripts for 3 commercials. We casted professional actors and filmed all 3 spots in one day at a green screen studio in Toronto. An additional half day shoot was used to film product shots to be incorporated at the end of each commercial. VCM completed the editing, compositing, animation, graphic packaging, colour correction and sound in a timely manner.
Results:
- The result was stylized, effective commercials that were fun, engaging and conveyed the benefits of using KKP’s services whether you are an individual or running a business
- KKP launched the campaign on YouTube and used the commercials in a 6-month digital campaign
- From the videos KKP also created a series of direct mail cards and website banners that complimented the series
- They created a complete integrated marketing campaign that the franchisees used in their local marketing to help build the KKP band and the awareness of their services
