Project Details
Objective:
Bluffers Park Marina is Toronto’s only full service marina with a scenic location that’s just 20 minutes from downtown. The marina wanted to create promotional video content for their new website that would showcase the beauty of the marina as well as the array of services that they offer. They also wanted to use the videos for digital marketing such as Google Pay Per Click. The marina’s Marketing Director approached Visual Communications & Marketing (VCM) for a creative and effective solution that would address their business objectives.
Solution:
During a thorough discovery meeting at the marina with one of the partners, VCM’s Sr. Producer, Paul Nandrajog listened carefully to what their goals were and what they envisioned for the project. VCM strategized 2 visually effective storylines and pitched the concepts, which the client loved. The first film was an Overview of the marina using aerial drone shots and beautiful cinematic HD shots to show the journey of what someone would experience at the marina. Custom designed text animation and music reinforced the benefits and all that the marina offers. The second video was focused on the different services offered. Cinematic HD footage along with text animation were used to tell the story that was visually engaging, informative and picturesque. We also went for a boat ride on the marina’s SeaRay to capture footage of fun activities on the water like jet skiing and paddle boarding. This was something the marina really wanted to capture along with their annual fishing derby, and we got it all. Even mother nature cooperated with our production days because the rain held off until we ended filming…the beauty of nature.
Results:
- The marina was extremely happy with the final product. They felt it was a true representation of what the marina stands for, and offers
- Both videos were launched on the Bluffers Park Marina website in 2015 and are still featured on their site, proving to be an asset to their business
- Bluffers Park Marina even took screen shots from the content and used them on their website
- The visual content was also used for landing pages they developed for their digital marketing campaign using Google Pay Per Click (PPC), which saw improved results within the first week
- More traffic to their website and more visitors to the marina were seen in less than two weeks
